Betty Crocker to attempt to break World Pancake Stacking Record

With less than a week to go until the tastiest day of the year – Pancake Tuesday, Betty Crocker wants you to put down the eggs, pack away the flour, leave the milk in the fridge and forget about having to make the batter the night before! With Betty Crocker Pancake Shakers, your Pancake Tuesday is about to become a mess and stress free zone!

This year, to celebrate Pancake Tuesday, Betty Crocker has teamed up with the ISPCC and Frangos World Cuisine in Dundrum Town Centre, to try and break the world record for pancake stacking!

On the 1st and 2nd of March, Frangos World Cuisine in Dundrum Town Centre will be selling delicious Betty Crocker Pancakes for €2. All proceeds from the pancakes will go to the ISPCC. Sunday (2nd March from 1pm to 2pm) will also see a world record attempt for the most pancakes stacked on top of each other, MC’d by Sile Seoige!

The kind folks at Betty Crocker have also given us some handy hints to get the perfect pancake on Tuesday…

  • Tap the bottom of the Betty Crocker Mix shaker to ensure no mixture sticks to the side of the bottle. Pour 290ml water into the bottle to the marked line. Replaced the lid, then turn the bottle upside down and shake vigorously for approximately 1 minute until the mixture is smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into a hot pan to form 7″/ 17cm round pancakes. Cook until the pancakes are crispy around the edge.
  • Turn or flip and cook until chocolate brown. Lift your pancakes from the pan and top with your favourite topping – delicious!

Betty Crocker Pancake Mixes are available in the Super Valu, Tesco & Dunnes Stores nationwide. RSP from €2. Check out Betty Crocker Ireland on Facebook –
